Greg Luttrell is a singer, guitarist and harmonica player from Detroit, MI who relocated to Boston, MA and now gets around to many countries doing performances of all kinds of feel good music. Whether performing with one of many bands or as a solo act, Greg's energy and delivery are a unique experience.

Currently Based in Beijing, Luttrell is an outstanding guitar player and his voice has been likened to Marvin Gaye, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder and Brad Nowell. He honed his skills playing in blues and cover bands in the 90s and formed his own funk and soul band, Michigan Blacksnake who released Michigan Blacksnake(1997) and  hit the road at a furious pace.  They were nominated for a Boston Music Award as Best Funk Band in 2000  and continued playing concerts and festivals for the next few years. They shortened the name to Blacksnake and released Mind Over Matter(2005) and played 200+ shows that year and for years after all over the US and in the Caribbean.

 In 2006 Greg was the touring guitarist with 80's pop sensation Missing Persons.

He formed his own band- the Greg Luttrell Band,  where genres blend into a vibe and songs evolve every night for whatever kind of party is happening. Playing all kinds of gigs in the USA and were invited to the House of Blues and Jazz in Shanghai, China in 2009 where they would play a long string of 10 residencies at that amazing venue, bringing their version of American blues and soul to the fans in China. They have performed in many clubs, bars and private parties in different cities in China.

2015 saw the formation of the Real Deal Band - another high energy band that blurs genres into groove parties and late night jams.

Greg is currently in the USA doing a string of shows with American groups and will return to China in late August 2024 to continue performing, teaching and recording including playing a Jimi Hendrix tribute as EZY RIDER along with the powerful and popular expat- Pink Floyd tribute group - Peking Floyd at DDC in Beijing on October 20th.
